How to Use Link Suggestions

Link Whisper analyzes your content and recommends relevant internal-linking opportunities. In V4, you can review suggestions from the Links Report, use AI-powered matching when enabled, and insert or manage links from the report or the WordPress editor.

Run a Site Scan First

1. Open Link Whisper → Dashboard.
2. Click Run Scan.
3. Let the link and target-keyword data finish loading before reviewing suggestions.

Open the Links Report

1. Go to Link Whisper → Links Report.
2. Use By Post to work through posts, or use Internal Links and External Links for link-level views.
3. Search or filter the report to narrow it to the posts you want to work on.
4. When available, use Generate Inbound Suggestions or Generate Outbound Suggestions, then review the suggestions as they become available.

Enable AI-Powered Suggestions

1. Go to Link Whisper → Settings → AI.
2. Connect the site to Link Whisper AI from the AI Subscription workflow.
3. Enable Use AI-Powered Suggestions.
4. Under AI Processing Actions to Perform, enable the AI processing needed for your workflow, including AI Relation Analysis when it is available.
5. Save the settings and run a Dashboard scan so Link Whisper can refresh the data.

AI-powered suggestions use Link Whisper AI credits. If AI credits are unavailable, Link Whisper can fall back to keyword-based suggestions where supported.

Review and Insert Suggestions

Review the suggested source post, target post, sentence, anchor text, and destination URL before inserting a link. Use the report action for the suggestion, or open the source post in the WordPress editor and use the Link Whisper suggestions panel when available.

Depending on the suggestion state, V4 can let you insert, ignore, edit, or delete a suggestion. Review the destination and anchor text before making changes.

Improve Suggestion Results

• Run a fresh scan after adding or substantially changing content.
• Check Settings → Content Scope to make sure the relevant post types and content are included.
• Check Settings → Linking Rules for anchor and linking preferences.
• For AI suggestions, make sure Link Whisper AI is connected and that the account has enough credits.

The current V4 setup does not use a minimum page-word-count setting. Do not look for the old Settings → Post Selection minimum-word instruction.

Monitor the Results

After inserting links, use the Dashboard and Links Report to review link coverage, link counts, and other site-health information. AI activity and credit usage are available from Link Whisper → AI Subscription.
