Quick Overview

Link Whisper is a WordPress internal-linking plugin. V4 combines link suggestions, reports, site-health information, automatic linking, AI-assisted workflows, and maintenance tools in one WordPress admin experience.

Core Internal-Linking Tools

Link Suggestions: find relevant inbound and outbound internal-link opportunities.
Links Report: review posts and their internal and external links.
Orphan Posts Report: find posts that need useful inbound internal links.
Broken Links Report: scan, review, and repair broken URLs.
Auto-Linking: create keyword-to-URL rules for recurring links.
Target Keywords: manage keyword-focused linking data.
URL Changer: update matching URLs across site content.

Reports and Site Health

Open Link Whisper → Dashboard for the V4 site overview. The Dashboard includes Site Health metrics, link activity, scan controls, recent activity, and links to detailed reports.

Additional report views include Domains, Clicks, Broken Links, and Visual Sitemaps. The exact columns and actions depend on the selected report and the data available on the site.

AI Features in V4

Link Whisper AI can provide stronger semantic matching and AI-assisted fixes. Supported AI workflows include AI-powered link suggestions, broken-link fixes, orphan-post fixes, and link-quality improvements.

AI work uses Link Whisper AI credits. Open Link Whisper → AI Subscription to view your balance, plan, purchases, renewal information, and AI Credit History. Use Link Whisper → Settings → AI to connect Link Whisper AI and configure AI processing actions.

Some AI scans and fixes run in the background. Review their progress from the Dashboard or the relevant report, and review proposed content changes before applying them.

Setup and Settings

Install and activate Link Whisper Premium.
Open Link Whisper → One Click Setup to review your license, Money Pages, optional Google Search Console connection, and scan choice.
Run Scan Site to build initial reports, or choose Scan & Link Site when you are ready for the AI linking workflow.
Use Link Whisper → Settings to configure General, Content Scope, Domains & URLs, Linking Rules, AI, Advanced, Related Posts, Licensing, and Debug.

Typical Workflow

Run a scan from Link Whisper → Dashboard.
Review Site Health and open the report that matches your task.
Review suggested source posts, target posts, anchor text, and destination URLs.
Insert or apply only the links and fixes that fit your linking plan.
Run a fresh scan after substantial content or link changes.

Important V4 Notes

The main overview screen is Dashboard; older instructions that refer to a generic Reports page may be out of date.
AI-assisted workflows can change existing post content, so review every proposed change before applying it.
There is no current minimum page-word-count setting.
Do not add a personal OpenAI API key. Current AI features use Link Whisper AI credits.
